Architect Dan Shipley added a master bedroom, covered outdoor patio and separate studio to this Dallas home. The landscape is the common element that connects all these different parts. The lines of the planting areas are mostly formal (straight) but contain plant material that is loose and informal in growth habit. Included in this landscape are bamboo planted in gravel, river washed sand stone steps and a tank head fountain.
